Scavenger Hunt at the Clyde Museum

We actually did GO to the museum! We did not spend all of our time at Our Town's Brewin' enjoying smoothies, milkshakes, pastries, cookies, Pepsi, Pepsi, Pepsi, Pepsi (Brenden!) Thank you Clyde Heritage League's Brenda and Norm!! Thanks for the free "These Things Stay By You!"

Teen Read Week

takes place in October. Now, you know I think Teen Read Week is Every Week, but it's an opportunity for my artists to get creative:

So, bookmarks and posters are needed! The theme: "It Came from the Library" (their bookmarks look, well, spooky, so . . .)

Manga, Ducks, Super Heroes, Ramen, Pocky . . .

Winners of the Posters: Andrew Greider and Paisley DeFriece, who also won the Super Hero Duck Painting Contest and received an Amazing Spiderman wrist band. TUT won the What's the Question - Manga/American Comic Characters and each member received Super Hero Thumb Wrestlers. We never did get to do any wrestling . . .

Toppings for the ramen included mushrooms, zucchini, radishes, onions, soy and hoisin sauces, a very hot bean sauce (enjoyed by Gavin and Alexis), and some Japanese flavorings . . . we are going to have to make onigiri!!

This is Erica W.'s duck - she did a very good job but arrived late and missed out on the judging!

Scavenger Hunt Permission Form

SPLAT will be going to the Clyde Museum, down the street from the library, on Tuesday, July 10, at 1 p.m. - we will meet at the library and walk to the museum as a group.

After the museum, the group will get a treat at Our Town's Brewin' on Main Street in Clyde, then return as a group to the museum.

Please copy this and bring that day with parental unit signature giving you permission to leave the library, etc.

Printed forms available near new Teen books.
