Next Week! Minecrafters Unite! and Rock the Library!

Ahem, the official P.R. reads:
Minecrafters Unite! at the Clyde Public Library
A program for all, newbies through expert, on Minecraft , a sandbox construction game, is being held at the Clyde Public Library, Thursday, September 27, at 6 p.m. We will be projecting the game, talking about play, giving and getting tips and tricks. If you have Minecraft on laptop or tablet and can play wireless-ly, feel free to bring your devices.
The game involves players creating and destroying various types of blocks in a three-dimensional environment. The game is played on PC and was released in May of 2012 for Xbox 360.
Rock the Library (Clyde Public, that is)
Local rock band SaKRed GroundZ performs at a special time at the Clyde Public Library on Friday, September 28. The library will be open from 7 to 9 p.m. for browsing, internet use, and borrowing to a BEAT as the band performs in the lobby. We’ll have special activities and refreshments. Warning! The Library will not be Quiet!
And, we have trash to origamize  - remember, the Kindle book disappeared!. . . stories to create involving pirates  - I didn't even show you story cubes . . .Slenderman to play (with the idea that our marching group for the Halloween Parade be made up of Slendermen (or Just Direction - I remember, we are going to look for pictures to create masks!)
Your opinions on: contemporary cartoons such as Regular Show and Adventure Show. (Let's start by giving them better titles . . .) and Daine was ready to opinionate!
I vote for - pick a book, movie, game, magazine, in other words, something in the library - we are creating posters from you and your pick!

I need one person to design and paint a cup - no use us all doing it if the paint is just going to peel off.

Ha! Almost forgot! Karaoke! And Cotton Candy! (We could use help with Karaoke at the Rock the Library.)

Writers and Readers! Go here! It's fun!

International Games Day at the Library

Hey, I just signed up for International Games Day, which we will hold at the library on Saturday, November 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The registration form (the filling out of which got us Labyrinth free, plus free downloads of Bookworm) had links to lots of other websites: Game Table Online is where you can play strategy board games online - free and fee;  then there's good old Scrabble; and there are Scrabble-ish games linked on the right.

There are also tournaments we can play online with other libraries - Super Smash Bros and MarioKart if we buy another copy - yup, someone checked out our copy AND NEVER RETURNED IT!  Been missing since 2009 - only got 31 plays . . . Super Smash Bros has, drum roll, 199 plays! Awesome!

We are also getting, absolutely free, Labyrinth - have you ever played it?

I bought Rory's Story Cubes for us to try, next SPLAT . . .

What Are We going to Do for the Halloween Parade??? Slenderman???
