This is what you need to get your parent's permission to be in 1 The Halloween Parade and 2 Eshleman's Fruit Farm Haunting.

Both events are Saturday, October 31.

The parade - we have a 'marching group' We are to line up for the parade at South Main Street Elementary School at 2:30. Judging is at 3 pm. Those who are 'working' Jack Skellington must be there so we can show the judges what he'll look like. (If you sign up for this, if you get your parent to give their permission, THEN YOU MUST SHOW UP because it will take 5 PEOPLE to make Jack work!!!)

Eshleman's Fruit Farm Haunting - be at Eshleman's Fruit Farm (out 101 North of Clyde) at 7 pm, dressed in your scariest costume. Bring a flashlight and shoes/boots appropriate for orchard ground. We will 'haunt' the orchard, scaring the people on the hay ride when they go past.

The event ends at 11 pm. I will take home the first 4 people that request that of me - the rest will have to make other arrangements.

You need to turn in to me Wednesday: signed permission from your parent stating that you can participate in one or both. You cannot participate in the Eshleman Haunting without being in the parade.

This must be given to me by 5:30 Wednesday October 21. Thanks!

Wednesday' Game Day!

Hey! Matt is bringing Brawl and a Mario Batting Game for the Wii.

I now own the first two Rock Bands for the PS2 - BUT! Nothing is open on them, so if anyone has them opened and saved and wants to bring in the memory card, that would be good . . .

And some painting will be going on . . .

New Angie Sage Book is Here Now, Sort Of

We have the new book in the Septimus Heap series, Syren! Magykal is Such a Good Series. This is book five. In order: Magyk, Flyte, Physik, Queste and now Syren!

Of course, the book is 'out' - it is not sitting on the shelf waiting for you. Our popular books seldom are! They travel the over thirty libraries of the Clevnet system fulfilling requests placed by intelligent readers who know.

Place your request online, sit back and wait for the phone call (or email, you can set up to be notified that way.) Then pick the book up at the lobby desk - staff will ask for your last name. Have your card!! You're good to go, with a great book!!
