All about SPLAT 2009

When? From June 4 to July 30. SPLAT meets Tuesdays from 1 to 2:30 pm and (most) Thursdays from 6:30 - 8 pm

Who participates? Anyone entering 7th grade in the fall up through 12th grade.

Where? The Clyde Public Library.

Why? It gives you a chance to see your friends and make new friends. There’s lots to do: this year we are learning about Henna and getting tattooed (temporarily), we’re painting with coffee, making Goth Sock Puppets (and putting on a Goth Play???), creating avatars, watching Youtube videos, playing Stepmania and other video games (and board games, too), learning how to write fiction from young adult authors Erin McCarthy and Rhonda Stapleton , celebrating (finally) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie release, getting dramatic, and making stuff: scrapbooks, musical instruments and more. Oh, and we also have a lot of great books to read and rewards for reading them.

What next? Pick up a program schedule at the library after the first of June or be sure to come to Our Opening Program, the mystery play “The Diva’s Demise” on Thursday, June 4 at 6:30 pm. Our Henna program will be Thursday, June 25 at 6:30 pm. I'll also be listing programming information here, too.
